The oaths taking function for the members who got selected to the 6 th provincial council of the western province from the Provincial Council election held on march 29th and who have not yet taken their oaths before the governor of the province,and the First Council Meeting of the Sixth Council of the Western Province will be held on the 22nd April 2014 at 9.30 a.m at the Building complex of the western province Provincial Council at No.204,Denzil kobbekaduwa Mawatha,Baththaramulla.

Subsequent to the oaths taking affairs election of the new chairman and deputy chirman of the western provincial council is shedule to take place at the first council meeting held on this day.

Oaths taking affairs of newly appointed members will be preceded by the Governor of the Western province,Alavi Mowlana, and for the First Council Meeting due to be held consequently all the 104 members selected to the western provincial council representing the three districts of Colombo,Gampahaand kaluthara are sheduleded to participate.
