Welcome
Welcome to the official website of the Council Secretariat of the Western Province. In accordance with the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Provincial Councils Act No. 42 of 1987, the main role of the Secretariat is to prepare the legislative groundwork for provincial development and to hold the sittings of the Council.
We aim to provide an efficient, impartial and transparent service to the Honourable Members of the Council and to the public.

Mr. Harsha Wijewardana assumes duties as Council Secretary
Mr. Harsha Wijewardana, a Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, has assumed duties as Secretary of the Western Provincial Council.
